What is Restorative Justice?

Restorative Justice is an approach towards community building and navigating conflict that centers the notion that no one is disposable.

Restorative Justice is a paradigm shift.  It asks us to shift from asking: What rule was broken? Who broke it? And how should they be dealt with? to asking: What harm was caused? Who was impacted? And how can we repair that harm?

Restorative Justice begins and ends with COMMUNITY and our shared values. By building, maintaining & restoring relationships between members of the entire community, we help to create an environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and can thrive.

Restorative Justice is an approach to community building and navigating conflict that has come to the education world through teachings from Indigenous peoples of North America.
